What is Sogo Kempo?

Sogo Kempo is a mixed combat sport system based on techniques of striking and kicking ( atemi-waza ), blocking ( uke-waza ), throwing ( nage-waza ), reverse joint locks ( kansetsu-gyakutori-waza ) and ground combat ( ne-waza ).
Sogo Kempo puts an emphasis on linear attacks but uses circular moves, such as the hook, or the uppercut as main technical methods.
Sogo Kempo has grappling moves, throws and ground fight. Multiple hits and neutralization of the opponent on the ground are specific to Sogo Kempo.

Sogo Kempo as a sport can be practiced at any age and we recommend for children to start at five years old.
We have an amateur competitive system. If you train in this system, you will also be able to compete in pro galas.
Practicing Sogo Kempo means physical maintenance exercises, cardio, done individually or with other partners in a relaxing environment, and fighting techniques performed correctly under the direct supervision makes you healthy and rejuvenated.

Sogo Kempo is first and foremost a martial art which aims at perfection of man as a whole – mind and body. The history of Martial Art is widely known and Sogo Kempo is part of this universe. Fighting sports competition simply derived from Martial Art. Attacks on vital points, on the joints, control of the opponent physically and mentally, makes the difference between fighting for survival and sport competition. If the sportive side shapes and polishes the character, the Martial Art ennobles it.
